As one of Philippines’s top hip-hop artists, Quest has been spreading positive vibes through his urban storytelling. Finishing 2017 on a high with his first major concert featuring some of the biggest names in Philippines, it’s only the beginning for Quest with 2018 looking to be another huge year for him! We’ve caught up with the man himself to see what inspires him.
If your music was a person, what would their personality be like? Do you have any character that comes to mind?
Optimistic, energetic, passionate
What’s the plan for 2018?
- Re-release my album “Life of a Champion” with new arrangements plus new songs
- More song writing projects for other artists
- Invest on younger up-and-coming artists
- Hit the global audience
What’s on your music bucket list?
A Grammy… or 3, a dope world tour that will raise money for charity, Abbey Road live performance
If you had to choose an album title as a quote to live by, which one would it be and why?
Nas – Life is good… It’s a reminder that no matter what happens, life will always be good as long as we learn to respond to whatever with optimism and hope.
What is the most bizarre moment you’ve experienced during a performance?
I only have a funny moment… I performed a 45 minute set with my zipper open.
