9:57am January 6th, 2016 and the crowd sits 20 rows deep at the South Hall entrance, Las Vegas Convention Centre awaiting the doors to open for the 49th Annual Consumer Electronic Show, otherwise known as CES. The hangover from the Las Vegas Boulevard’s New Years Eve had barely recovered before the 3,600+ exhibitors prepared for the four day international event. Exhibitors were exposed to over 170,000 attendees this year and for the 5th consecutive year Audiofly presented its iconic brand on the floor.
Notably one of our most successful years, Audiofly showcased a number of new products and hinted at further projects ahead for the young, but by no means immature brand.
Situated at the South Hall, the Audiofly booth was this year revealed with a light facelift, quite literally. Lightened with grey wash floors and concrete columns, the Audiofly booth was looking as fresh as the products themselves. We were left blushing when inundated with compliments on the brand details and booth image, it was apparent the attention to detail Audiofly strives for was both recognised , and appreciated.
The booth held the classic good looks that Audiofly are renown for but Audiofly staff were, as always full of character! Not only were the staff Audiofly’s own from both the USA and Australia offices – no show girls here! They also came with full product knowledge, while offering visitors a nostalgic trip down memory lane as they distributed the classic 90’s play ground toy, the YoYo. Audiofly prepared custom branded YoYo’s that proved a hit with the merchandise moving faster than we could (re)learn our childhood YoYo tricks.
So the new products you ask? Firstly, we see the introduction of the new In Ear Monitor, the AF100. Audiofly saw a need for an entry level IEM for the aspiring musicians, those who are looking for an introduction to the In Ear Monitor or simply those who appreciate good sound with added comfort. With a beautifully voiced single dynamic driver, our AF100 is a lesson in packing a great sound into a value package.
At the other end of the scale, the AF1120 brings a sextet of balanced armature drivers into a universal IEM form factor. Featuring six highly tuned armature drivers in a dual, low mid and high configuration, the 3 way crossover creates a sense of space and clarity simply stunning to hear. There was overwhelming response from those fortunate enough to try the new AF1120 at CES, including the music legend himself Stevie Wonder who, on day 4, stopped by the Audiofly booth and spoke all things sound. Stevie Wonder showed great enthusiasm and appreciation for the sound quality of the AF1120 whilst leaving the Audiofly team star struck & mesmerised for the remainder of the afternoon.
Finally, the CES audience were privy to the (re)launched and updated AF250 Over Ear headphone with imagery and all the specs. This handsome over ear headphone features are a winning formula with Bluetooth 4.1, AptX technology and touch screen interface for immediate control. The real winner of the AF250 however, is you with its astounding 25hour standby life, a leap above competitors.
All the new products are expected to be shipping within the first half of 2016. Further to this, the already thriving AF240 was on display in new colour, Vintage White offering our customers more variety to the Audiofly product range. The AF240 Vintage White will be available in early February.
Audiofly were fortunate enough to receive visits from many of our current international distributors, clients and partners throughout the show and gained great exposure globally. 2016 holds great opportunities and an exciting outlook so ensure you keep following Audiofly’s progress and all our latest news via our e-newsletter, Facebook and Instagram.
