This Summer, there’s plenty of exciting music festivals coming our way! Whether or not it’s your first time going to a music festival, we’ve put together a few quick tips to help you make the most of your festival experience.
Know what’s on
Music festivals are much much bigger than a live gig. You can bet there’s gonna be a clash here and there on the schedule between your favourite acts. Plan ahead and find out who’s playing what time and where. If you wanna be up front and centre, you better get in early because no one’s waiting. But hey, doesn’t hurt to be spontaneous either.
Get comfortable
No fixed seats, lots of people, long hot summer hours. Dress to move and shake but also make sure you’re comfortable – you’re gonna be on your feet a lot.
Keep it simple
It’s easy for things to get lost at music festivals, so make sure you only pack the essentials and limit the valuables. We recommend a fanny pack or crossbody bag to keep things close and nimble. Leave the backpack for hiking.
Look after each other
Okay, we’re not your parents but take care of yourself, okay? Last thing you want is to miss out on our favourite band because you forgot to drink a bit of water. Be sun smart, stay hydrated, know where everyone is and look after your mates. (We wouldn’t be Audiofly if we didn’t mention to look after your ears! Earplugs go a long way.)
Pro tip: bring a power bank or two so you can always be reached. If the festival sucks, you got your phone to keep you company as well.
Alright that’s us. Go out and have fun.
